Welcome to Spirit Wings Kids (SWK), A Non-Profit 501C3 Charity established in 2007 Founded by Entrepreneurs Donna Johnson, best-selling author of My Mentor Walks on Water and her husband Thomas Tidlund. 100% of all donations to Spirit Wings Kids goes directly to support our Permaculture Farm & Soccer Academy In Uganda and our Orphanage Ministry Worldwide partnered with Streams Of Mercy Ministry.
It all started with Orphanage Ministry
SWK chose Streams of Mercy after hearing the story of Wick & Jan Nease, and their dedication to Orphans. It was established to meet the needs of the most needy individuals in nations around the world. These individuals are often children who are desperate and helpless in changing their circumstances. The organization is now actively involved in disaster relief, both man-made and natural, by mobilizing volunteers and resources to assist those in need.
Streams of Mercy strives to meet the most obvious needs of the destitute such as food, clothing, shelter, and medical assistance, as well as meeting the less visible needs of care and comfort. Utilizing volunteers with genuine compassion means that resources can get to these individuals with a minimal amount spent on administrative services, thereby maximizing the impact of donations.
Our family has personally traveled to all of the orphanages we support in India, Africa and Jamaica, and participated firsthand in the care of these beautiful children. Your donations and support save thousands of lives. From widows to orphans, prostitutes to street children, we are dedicated to building lives and giving hope beyond what the streets can offer. We have seen many families reconnected, children’s lives saved and hearts healed.

2018 began our process of creating a Permaculture Farm in Uganda, building renewable resources to support others’ wellbeing and sustainability
In 2018 SWK traveled to Uganda to plant the Spirit Wings Permaculture Farm, headed by Donna’s son Nathaniel, a leading Permaculturist. Donna, Thomas, Nathaniel and two of his daughters AmmaLee & Ophelia brought seeds, plants and the plot design. Not only did we plant the garden, we taught Sam and his family network how to maintain and learn. Nat left several books while there. During the pandemic, the farm literally saved people’s lives. Sam also used that time to read every book, and learned about Medicinal practices that would treat diseases through plants.

The purpose & vision of the Soccer Academy is to create community and team unity to offer a sense of purpose and hope to play at a higher level. We have an opportunity to expose them to agents that spots talent to be recruited to a professional team around the globe.
We started out in November 2019 with a Tournament for Teams and Academies around Uganda. That was the first time many of the players got the opportunity to play on a real pitch with artificial turf. Since then the Academy has grown to over 60 kids that attending school, practice and play Matches 5-6 days a week.
